The Volt is a contemporary commercial office project designed to redefine the traditional workplace environment. Located in Kolkata, the project introduces a bold architectural identity that breaks away from conventional cubical office blocks. Its design emphasizes openness, interaction, and a strong visual presence within the urban fabric. The building reflects a progressive approach to modern work culture and spatial efficiency.
Design Approach
The design is driven by the concept of subtracting mass to create dynamic voids within the built form. These carved-out spaces invite natural light, ventilation, and visual connectivity across levels. Terraces and open-air zones are seamlessly integrated to blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors. The approach enhances both functionality and experiential quality for office users.
The Volt is an 8,400 sq. ft. commercial office development located in Kolkata, West Bengal. Designed as a private commercial project, it features architecture and interiors by AR Studio. The building is completed and operational, offering contemporary, flexible workspaces.
